100 Smutfic Recs: "Rendevous Mode" and "Nobody's Watching (But Him)"
Today we'll be looking at Rendezvous Mode by Laylah or ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
cypher and Nobody's Watching (But Him) by UkiTheMaid. Both are Homestuck fics, and both are Brobot/Jake with focus on Dirk/Jake.
Rendezvous Mode, and I never realized it had a 'z' in it before this, is wholly from Dirk's perspective, chatting to Jake with the webcam off. This means that all of the action going on is conveyed by dialogue, giving the author a great chance to show off their voices. Pretty much everything this author writes in every fandom is gold, and I highly recommend a look through their archives. (I had trouble not just reccing their other Jake/Dirk fic and calling it a day.)
Sometimes the hint of sex is more hot than showing the sex itself. Jake certainly manages to give us enough to go off of, and the relationship between Dirk and Jake is perfectly done. Also, it's about long-distance relationship problems being dealt with through robot sex. What else do you need.
Nobody's Watching (But Him) is good old-fashioned PWP about robot sex. It has a different tack - the relationship isn't established between Dirk and Jake, Dirk does in fact have a webcam and Jake doesn't know that, and the sex is detailed out. Mm, multiple arms.
Masturbation, webcam or phone voyeurism (I guess that's the term), robot sex, all delicious things.
