I know there was a CD edition of the first Dirk Gently radio play (and possibly also The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul? haven't heard that one, though) that was distributed to a lot of libraries in the US, which is how I heard it, so maybe you can get your hands on it that way. Or through other channels, I dunno, but if you get the opportunity, I recommend it. A lot.
